Food

Bottled water, breakfast foods, fruit, and snacks will be provided at no charge to tournament players.  Sandwiches/grilled items/sports drinks will be available for purchase.

Lodging / Accommodations

Tournament players are responsible for their own housing accommodations. Members of the Springfield Pickleball Club have hosted players in the past. Spaces are limited, so email early if you are considering this arrangement.

Other Registration Info

Douglas Park (2.7 miles from Iles Park) has six courts that will be available for recreational play throughout the weekend. 

At the conclusion of play at Iles Park on Thursday and Friday, the courts will remain open under the lights for recreational play.

For those players who would rather pay by check than do an on-line payment, checks should be made payable to the Springfield Pickleball Club and mailed to: Jack Handy, 142 Wingfoot Drive, Springfield, IL 62704

All players must pay in advance of the tournament. The payment deadline will be Sunday, June 3. If you have not paid by this time, you may lose your spot. The deadline for a refund is Sunday, June 17.

Format

Skill based with categories of 3.0, 3.5, 4.0, 4.5, and 5.0

Most skill divisions will also be subdivided by age.

Play Format:  Most events will be played as a round robin with a single elimination medal round. Event format will be determined by number of registrants. Events may be double elimination (2/3 to 11 winners bracket, 1 to 15 losers bracket), round robin (games to 11 or 15), or round robin with a single elimination medal round (games to 11 or 15).
