Welcome to the Sixth Annual New Hampshire Lakes Region Pickleball Tournament located at Foss Field, in Wolfeboro, New Hampshire scheduled for September 11-13, 2020.
Participants must be Age 19 or older by December 31, 2020. The minimum pickleball skill level is 2.5. That rating should be based upon either a USAPA Rating, an IPTPA rating, or a good faith self-assessment. Registration closes Thursday, August 27, 2020, at midnight EST.
Registration is limited to the first 200 registrants.
Brackets are determined first by Skill Level [2.5, 3.0, 3.5, etc.] then by Age within Skill Level [19-34, 35-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, etc]. All play will be Round Robin. That means that each team in a bracket will play each other team in that bracket at least once. In smaller brackets, a team may play each opposing team twice. Depending on bracket size, games will be to 11 points, winning by two points, or to 15 points, winning by 2 points.
The tournament ball is the yellow Onix Fuse G2 outdoor ball. Players must supply their own paddles but tournament balls will be provided.
This is NOT a USAPA sanctioned event. However, referees may be used for some matches, and tournament results will be forwarded to the USAPA for ratings purposes.

Special Event:
On Friday evening, September 11, 2020, players are invited to attend a social gathering at the Wright Museum on Center Street in Wolfeboro from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM. The Wright Museum is the largest World War II Museum in New England and has been featured in many media publications, including television specials. More than just an exhibit of tanks, boats, planes, and other military equipment, the Wright Museum offers a "time tunnel" view of life in the United States during the 1940's. Many will recognize reconsructed scenes from homes, stores, and amusement parks from their childhood years.
This event will include docent tours and lots of camaraderie along with beverages and appetizers. And there will be a special musical tribute: The Beatles will perform! Actually, four young men who look and sound like John, Paul, George, and Ringo will sing their fabulous songs. The group strives to recreate a Beatles concert with songs from 1962-1966, and it encourages dancing and sing-a-long.
"A Night at the Museum" is included within the player registration fee. Players may bring a guest for an additional charge of $10.00 per person.
Pickleball Clinic with the Pros
Pickleball 5.0 players and national gold medal winners Claire Grabher and Yvonne Tyng are offering four two-hour clinics to registered players. Each clinic is limited to eight players in order to maintain a player to teacher ratio of 4:1. The fee per player is $ 48.00.
The first half of each clinic covers dinking, volleys, lobs, overheads, & partner communication. The second half of the clinic places emphasis on the back-court game and partner strategies. Techniques and drills are tailored for each skill level in a way that optimizes the learning experience.
Each clinic is scheduled for Friday, September 11, 2020, as follows
08:00 AM to 9:55 AM Skill Level 2.5/3.0
10:00 AM to 11:55 AM Skill Level 3.5 Class A

Format
The Tournament Director reserves the right to combine brackets when fewer than five teams are registered in a particular Skill/Age bracket. A Round Robin format will be used for all matches.
Under the Round Robin format, medal winners will be determined first by the number of wins earned, secondarily by head-to-head competition, followed by the point score differential from all games.
Point score differential is the "spread" between the winning team's score and the opposing team's score. For example, assume Team A defeats Team B by a score of 11-6. Team A records one "Win" and a point score of +5. Team B records one "Loss" and a point score of -5. Assume further that when the bracket of six teams has completed all five games [one game against each opponent] the results are as follows:
Team A Wins 5 Points + 18
Team B Wins 3 Points + 3
Team C Wins 5 Points + 2
Team D Wins 2 Points - 2
Team E Wins 0 Points - 10
Team F Wins 0 Points - 11
Team A with 5 Wins and a score of +18 takes first place; Team C with 5 Wins and a score of
+2 takes second place; Team B with 3 wins takes third place.
Medals will be awarded for first, second, and third place winners in each bracket.
The number of games played and the points to be played each game is as follows:
Maximum Points/
Bracket Size Round Robin Type Games to Play Point Score Per Game 11-Point Game Equivalents
Four Teams Double Six To 11 points, win by 2 66; 6.0
Five Teams Single Four To 15 points, win by 2 60; 5.5
Six Teams Single Five To 15 points, win by 2 75; 6.8
Seven Teams Single Six To 11 points, win by 2 66; 6.0
As a result, each player will play the equivalent of at least 5 games in total points.
