Tournament Description

You will not be confirmed into the tournament until both you and your partner have completed your registrations. That includes having a valid USA Pickleball membership listed in your pickleballtournaments.com profile, signing the waiver, and submitting payment. The Newport Beach Classic is part of the Newport Beach Series of Pickleball Tournaments. All medalists of the NB Classic will receive priority registration for the Newport Beach Invitational (October 14 - 16, 2022) which will have a $10,000 amateur prize money purse!

Mixed Doubles Skill/Age Groups (5.0 or lower skill levels only): Sat 05/14/22

    - Limited to 16 teams by UTPR/Age group
   Note: Either this event or Mixed Doubles Wait List may be entered. Not both.

Mens Doubles Skill/Age Groups: Sun 05/15/22

The Clubhouse Grill will be open for food purchases during the tournament. The Pro Shop will have snacks and beverages as well.

PAYMENT/PARTNER POLICY

Players must be paid and have a registered and paid partner to be confirmed.  Players not paid and without registered and paid partners will be moved to a wait list if the division in which a spot is being held is filled with fully registered and paid teams. 

INCLEMENT WEATHER POLICY

Newport Beach Pickleball Events tournaments are outdoor.   If weather or any other unforeseen circumstance occurs,  Newport Beach Pickleball Events will do all it can to play matches. If brackets are in mid-play when a weather or unforeseen circumstance occurs, the situation will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis to determine if the bracket may be finished or if winners may be determined. 

CANCELLATION DEADLINE:

No refunds for any reason after the CANCELLATION DEADLINE, unless the Registration & Weather Insurance Policy has been purchased prior to the CANCELLATION DEADLINE.

REGISTRATION & WEATHER INSURANCE POLICY:

If you withdraw before CANCELLATION DEADLINE, you will be issued a refund, less a $25 withdraw fee, without the need to purchase Registration Insurance.

During registration you may choose to purchase the Registration & Weather Insurance in the event you have to cancel out of the event after the CANCELLATION DEADLINE. See the policy for specific coverage details. The insurance will also cover your event fee if your event is cancelled due to weather without a make-up day option.

PARTNER REPLACEMENT POLICY:

Before registration closes, you may find any player to register. They will need to complete registration before registration closes. Any registered player losing a partner after registration closes must replace that partner with an already registered player. The replacement must be in the same skill/age group that you are scheduled to play. Players can play down in age and up in skill. Replacements need to be communicated to Debbie at: ptpbreg@gmail.com by 2pm the day before you are scheduled to play. Replacements can be found on the Players Needing Partners list.
