National Tournament
This event will sell out! - Limited spots available.
You MUST complete your registration and complete minimum fundraising to be officially registered.
Welcome and thank you for participating in the Susan G. Komen Pickleball for the Cure National Tournament. We are excited to be your hosts and we will do everything we can to ensure you have a wonderful experience at our gorgeous club.
This is an unsanctioned tournament which is open to players of all skill levels. The tournament has a $0 registration fee. However, all participants are required to fundraise a minimum of $250 to be eligible to play.
Pickleball for the Cure National Tournament player registration requires two steps. In order to officially be registered for this even, you must complete the following two steps:
- Create your personal fundraising page at komen.org/NationalTournament. Donate and/or collect at least $250 by September 30th.
- Register for tournament bracket and divisional play on this pickleballtournaments.com tournament site.
- You may register for Men's or Women's Doubles AND Mixed Doubles for the same fundraising minimum of $250.
NOTE: If the fundraising minimum is not met by September 30th, either through your personal donation or by asking others to support your efforts, then your slot in the national tournament will be forfeited.
We will be using text messaging for court assignments at the tournaments. Please include your text number in your pickleballtournaments.com profile.
We have (47) permanent pickleball courts, including our Grandstand Stadium court. All of our courts are surfaced with Acrytech® premium and our nets are top of the line Douglas® nets.
In preparation for the Pickleball for the Cure National Tournament, here are a few details we want to communicate to you to help maximize the player experience at the The Tennis & Pickleball Club at Newport Beach.
- Spectators will be allowed.
- No pets are allowed.
- The Tennis & Pickleball Club at Newport Beach follows all the current recommended CDC guidelines.

PAYMENT/PARTNER POLICY
Players and their partners must have completed the mimimum fundraising goal of $250 (komen.org/nationaltournament). Teams who have not completed the fundraising goal will be moved to a wait list if the division in which a spot is being held is filled with fully registered and paid teams.
INCLEMENT WEATHER POLICY
This is an outdoor tournament. If weather or any other unforeseen circumstance occurs, Newport Beach Pickleball Events will do all it can to play matches. If brackets are in mid play when a weather or unforeseen circumstance occurs, the situation will be evaluated on a case by case basis to determine if the bracket may be finished or if winners may be determined.
CANCELLATIONS
You are able to cancel your tournament registration. No refunds will be given on donations or fundraising.
PARTNER REPLACEMENT POLICY
Any registered player losing a partner must replace that partner with an already registered player. The replacement must be in the same skill/age group that you are scheduled to play. Players can play down in age and up in skill. Replacements need to be known and communicated to Debbie at: pickleball@javete.com by 12pm the day before you are scheduled to play. Replacements can be found on the players needing partners list.
Cancellation Policy
October 1, 2022 - CANCELLATION DEADLINE:
You are able to cancel your tournament registration. No refunds will be given on donations or fundraising.
There will be a deadline of Sept 30th if minimum fundraising of $250 is not achieved. Set up fundraising page at komen.org/nationaltournament.

Format
- Double Elimination
- Main Draw: 2 out of 3 games to 11 win by 2.
- Consolation Draw: 1 game to 15 win by 2.
- All players are guaranteed (2) matches.
- If there are only 5 teams in a bracket, the format goes to a single round robin format.
- If there are only 4 teams in a bracket, the format goes to a double round robin format.
- If there are 3 or less teams in a bracket, the brackets will be combined with the closest age brackets within the same skill level.
