Tournament Description

INDOOR TOURNAMENT: Matrix Racquet Club is hosting the NWACS Charity Tournament. This tournament benefits the Northwest Children's Shelter and is using a round robin format to a single elimination bracket for medals. Support the mission of the Northwest Arkansas Children's Shelter while having fun with your friends!

Food

The Matrix has a cafe on campus. 

With the registration fee, players receive the following food and drink tickets:

Two drink tickets to be used during the Cocktails and Clinic event on 07/23/2021.
Fruit and Breakfast Bars in the Player's Lounge the morning of 07/24/2021 and 07/25/2021.
One food ticket for a hamburger or hotdog from the Matrix outdoor grill on 07/24/2021 and 07/25/2021.

Smoothies and salads available for purchase.  
Both non-alcoholic and alcoholic beverages are available for purchase.

No outside alcohol allowed.

This NWACS Charity Tournament is a fundraiser to benefit the Northwest Arkansas Children's Shelter.  Each year, hundreds of children find a safe haven and HOPE for the future at the Northwest Arkansas Children’s Shelter.  We thank you for your donation and support!  For more information please visit their website at nwacs.org.

Directions

The Matrix Racquet is located in Northwest Arkansas which is described as artsy, historic, vibrant, and authentic. 

NWA is the perfect mix of big-city fun and small town charm.  While in NWA, explore distinctive downtowns, the great outdoors, and world-class art.

Matrix is conveniently located just off I-49 exit 78.

Format

The NWACS Charity Tournament is formatted to give players the maximum amount of play possible.

Round Robin into Bracket Play for medals.

Age level brackets within skill level will be considered following registration.

Each game will be played to 11 points, winning by 2 points.

Volunteer Opportunities

Coaches:

Volunteer coaches needed to host Quick Start Clinics and Adult/Child Clinics on Friday, July 23rd from 6pm to 6:30pm during "Cocktails and Clinics". Registration fee is $10 per person with 100% of fees being donated to the Children's Shelter.

Court Taping:

We will taping indoor courts on Friday, July 23rd at 10am.

Volunteers needed to assist with court taping and net set up.

Check In:

Help players at check in table for the tournament using laptop. All players will receive a t-shirt and goody bag.

Court Monitors:

We are assigning court monitors for all divisions. Court monitors will be assigned 4 courts. The court monitors are there to help facilitate play by:

Helping with scorekeeping.
Reporting scores to the tournament desk.
Picking up balls on the court.
Using measuring sticks to measure nets between matches to ensure height is correct.
Watching for safety issues.
Being positive and encouraging.

Event Tear Down:

After the tournament is completed on Sunday, July 25, help put away banners, nets, tables, pull up tape, etc.
