Log In or Sign UpWelcome to the Second Annual Big Brothers Big Sisters NH Pickleball Tournament. The event remains located at the Exeter Town Recreation Center at 4 Hampton Road, Exeter, New Hampshire and is scheduled for Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, July 8-10, 2022. This year there will be 16 courts.

USAPA Sanctioned
The 2022 tournament is a USA Pickleball Sanctioned Event. That means that all players must be USA Pickleball members at date of registration and current through at least July 12, 2022. To join the USAPA go to USAPA.org.
Participants must be Age 10 or older by December 31, 2022. The minimum pickleball skill level is 2.5. That rating should be based upon either a USA Pickleball Rating, an IPTPA rating, or a good faith self-assessment.
Registration closes Firday, June 24, 2022, at midnight EST.
An Early Registration discount fee is available to those who register and pay on or before June 17, 2022.
COVID Rules in Effect [Subject to Change]
Under guidelines issued by the Governor of New Hampshire, the following protocol applies until further notice:
1. Tournament players need not wear a face mask while on the Pickleball courts. However, they are encouraged to wear a face-mask when not playing, and, when not playing, should maintain a "social distance" of six feet.
2. Spectators are permitted but they must also follow COVID rules in effect for players.
3. Food and/or beverages must be brought to the tournament site only by the players; neither food nor beverages will be provided by the tournament staff. Players must bring their own chairs.
Registration Limitations
Registration is limited to the first 300 fully paid registrants. All events are in a Round Robin format, and Brackets will be limited to eight teams, for a maximum Round Robin play of seven games per team per bracket.
Brackets are also limited to the first eight fully paid teams. For example:
Mickey and Minnie are the third team to register for a bracket. Minnie is fully paid; Mickey has not paid.
Donald and Daisy are the ninth team to register for the same bracket. Both Donald and Daisy are fully paid.
Since the Mickey/Minnie team has an unpaid player, their team is moved to the wait-list,
Donald and Daisy become the eighth team and the bracket is closed.
Note: since their original bracket is now full, Donald and Daisy may choose to play down in age and/or up in skill in whichever brackets remain open.
Brackets are determined first by Skill Level [2.5, 3.0, 3.5, etc.] then by Age within Skill Level [19-34, 35-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, etc]. As all play will be Round Robin, each team in a bracket will compete with each other team in that bracket at least once. In smaller brackets, a team may play each opposing team twice. Depending on bracket size, games will be to 11 points, winning by two points, or to 15 points, winning by 2 points.
The tournament ball is the green Franklin X-40 outdoor ball. Players must supply their own paddles.

Format
The Tournament Director reserves the right to combine brackets when fewer than five teams are registered in a particular Skill/Age bracket. A Round Robin format will be used for all matches.
Under the Round Robin format, medal winners will be determined first by the number of wins earned, secondarily by head-to-head competition, followed by the point score differential from all games.
Point score differential is the "spread" between the winning team's score and the opposing team's score. For example, assume Team A defeats Team B by a score of 11-6. Team A records one "Win" and a point score of +5. Team B records one "Loss" and a point score of -5. Assume further that when the bracket of six teams has completed all five games [one game against each opponent] the results are as follows:
Team A Wins 5 Points + 18
Team B Wins 3 Points + 3
Team C Wins 5 Points + 2
Team D Wins 2 Points - 2
Team E Wins 0 Points - 10
Team F Wins 0 Points - 11
Team A with 5 Wins and a score of +18 takes first place; Team C with 5 Wins and a score of
+2 takes second place; Team B with 3 wins takes third place.
Medals will be awarded for first, second, and third place winners in each bracket.
Each team will play a minimum of four games and a maximum of seven games.
