Dear Milwaukee Pickleball Open Participants,

The World Pickleball Tour thanks you for registering for the Milwaukee Pickleball Open. Unfortunately, we are canceling the event due to a low number of confirmed registrations. We were looking forward to throwing you an awesome event in Milwaukee and we hope to re-engage with the market and host a tournament in the future. Of course, the WPT will be refunding all participants and will begin processing those this week. If you have any comments, questions, or concerns, please do not hesitate to let me know.

Format

This Tournament is now a Round Robin Event.

The following formats will be used:

Men's/Women's/Mixed Doubles:

4 Teams - double round robin, 1 to 15, win by 2

5-6 Teams - single round robin, 2 out of 3 to 11, win by 2

7-8 Teams - single round robin, 1 to 15, win by 2

9 Teams - single round robin, 1 to 11, win by 2

10+ Teams - Split into pools.  Pool play will follow above guidelines based on number of teams in your pool. 

ALL BRACKETS will have a playoff for the top 4 teams to determine medals.  If your bracket is split into pools, the top 2 from each pool will advance to the playoff.

Men's/Women's Singles:

All Matches will be single round robin, 1 game to 15, win by 2

To determine who is selected for the playoff:

1. Wins

2. Head to Head

3. Point Differential (This is ALL matches played)

1st tie-breaker: head-to-head matches won.

2nd tie-breaker: point differential of all games played. (e.g., Team A won Match 1 11-8, 11-4, so they would have a point differential of +10. Team A then wins the second match 11-9, 2-11, 11-6. For this round, they would have a point differential of -2. This would give them a total for the day of +8.) 12.C.3.c. 

3rd tie-breaker: head-to-head point differential.

4th tie-breaker: point differential against next-highest team. (e.g., If the teams are tied for second, use point differentials against the first-place team.)
