Tournament Description

This is a Round-Robin skill/age tournament benefiting the Pickleball Legacy Scholarship Foundation. Each event will be limited to 8 teams. All brackets will be using the Selkirk SLK Competition Outdoor ball. See FORMAT tab for more details. Have fun!

Food

Basic snacks will be provided to the players, as well as water.  There are water fountains on site, so please provide your own containers for re-fill.  

Tournament days can be long, and full meals will not be available on-site. Please plan accordingly.

Cancellation Policy

IMPORTANT!

There will be no refunds for any reason after APRIL 29, 2022 at midnight.   

On April 29th, 2022, if you are registered and still do not have a partner, you will need to decide whether you want to remain in the tournament and take a chance someone's partner will drop and you can fill in, OR withdraw from the tournament and receive your refund. Starting April 30th,  there will be no refunds.

There are several parking options near the pickleball courts. The closest lot may be full, so using one of the two lots across the street may be required. Please be cautious when crossing the street!

Format

The format for this tournament will be a round-robin of no more than 8 teams. The format for each event will depend on the final team count, as follows:
 

3-4 teams: Double round-robin with each match consisting of 1 game to 15, win by two.
 

5-6 teams: Single round-robin with each match consisting of best 2 out of 3 games to 11, win by two.
 

7-8 teams: Single round-robin with each match consisting of 1 game to 15, win by two.

8+ teams (by combination): Single round-robin with each match consisting of 1 game to 11, win by two.

Brackets that have fewer than 3 teams will be combined by age for the Senior events and combined by skill for non-senior events. For further questions, contact the Tournament Director at RNSpickleball@gmail.com

Medals will be awarded to 1st, 2nd and 3rd place for each event; including combined events.  

Final scoring will follow IFP rules found in section 12.C.3 of the rule book (link above).
