What does it mean to be registered?

• Player in a singles amateur/pro event/senior pro event
  • has registered and paid their tournament fees
• Player in a doubles amateur/pro event/senior pro event
• both players have registered
• both players have paid their tournament fees 

You or your team could be moved to the waitlist

• if both players are not registered
• if both players have not paid all tournament fees
• Contract to play is between players and it is their responsibility to comply with the tournament requirements to participate as stated above - player responsibility

Event fees
Registration is $70 for Athlete Credential
Per Event Fee for Amateur is $40, Pro is $130 and Senior Pro $120

Amateurs wanting to play in Pro Events:

• Players may only play in one event per day
• All players must have a minimum 4.5 UTPR rating in the either Singles, Gender Doubles or Mixed Doubles (partners included)
  • If you qualify and having trouble registering for the event, please email the registration coordinator under the "CONTACT" button on the tournament page.
• If the event is full, priority is given to 5.0 UTPR skill rated players over 4.5 UTPR skill rated players. 
• If capacity for pro/senior pro bracket has been reached 
• players/teams will be moved to an amateur event if there is capacity in the amateur event 
• otherwise, you will be placed on the amateur event waitlist 
• Amateur players ensure you want to take this risk before signing up for a pro event.   
• ​Top 50 Pro at the time of registration OR Top 50 Pro when registration ends
• Players that are ranked in the Top 50 Pro World Pickleball Rankings (WPR) in any category (Singles, Gender Doubles or Mixed Doubles) are not eligible to play in any amateur events.  This means if a player is ranked any category they must play Pro in all categories and are not eligible to play any amateur events.    
• Changes to Pro draws can have significant changes to seedings when a partner is replaced, which is why there is a deadline of 12pm the day before the draw plays as time is required to make the seeding adjustments before the draws are published.
• Partner changes are not allowed once the draws have been published; in the event of a partner change, the team would be entered as a withdrawal for the match and the team benefiting from the withdrawal would advance. 
• World Pickleball Rankings (WPR), not APP Standings will be used to seed Pro or Senior Pro Draws 
• UTPR and not APP Standings will be used to seed amateur draws 

Playing in Senior Pro Events: 

• Senior Pro will have no minimum skill requirement to participate. 
• A Senior Pro ranked in the Top 10 for the World Pickleball Rankings (WPR) for any category (Singles, Gender Doubles or Mixed Doubles) are NOT ELIGIBLE TO PLAY Super Senior Pro events.  This is based on the current WPR on the date the tournament registration closes. 
• Changes to Pro draws can have significant changes to seedings when a partner is replaced, which is why there is a deadline of 12pm the day before the draw plays as time is required to make the seeding adjustments before the draws are published.
• Partner changes are not allowed once the draws have been published; in the event of a partner change, the team would be entered as a withdrawal for the match and the team benefiting from the withdrawal would advance.

• Players with a UTPR 5.5 or higher are NOT eligible to play in the amateur events

• Players that are ranked in the Top 50 Pro or Top 10 Senior Pro World Pickleball Rankings (WPR) in any category (Singles, Gender Doubles or Mixed Doubles) are not eligible to play in any amateur events.  This means if a player is ranked in the top 50 in any category they must play Pro in all categories and are not eligible to play any amateur events.
• Brackets will be filled on a first come basis.  
  • ​As a waitlist develops, we will be managing bracket sizes to accommodate demand.  
  • Therefore, bracket maximums may be adjusted from registration opening to the day of play. 

Cancellation Policy

Withdrawals before May 24, 2022 will receive a refund minus a $25 cancellation fee.

No refunds or credits for any reason after the CANCELLATION DEADLINE ABOVE unless the Registration & Weather Insurance Policy has been purchased prior to the CANCELLATION DEADLINE ABOVE.

INCLEMENT WEATHER POLICY

APP events are outdoor events.   If weather or any other unforeseen circumstance occurs the APP will do all it can to play matches.   If brackets are in mid play when a weather or unforeseen circumstance occurs the situation will be evaluated on a case by case basis to determine if the bracket may be finished or if winners may be determined

REGISTRATION & WEATHER INSURANCE POLICY

If you withdraw before CANCELLATION DEADLINE ABOVE, you will be issued a  refund minus $25 withdrawal fee without the need to purchase Registration Insurance.

During registration you may choose to purchase the Registration & Weather Insurance in the event you have to cancel out of the event after CANCELLATION DEADLINE ABOVE. See the policy for specific coverage details.

Amateur & Pro Events 

Double Elimination

• all players will have the ability to play for the Gold Medal match thru the consolation bracket. 
• all players are guaranteed two ( 2 ) matches.
• all matches in the "Main Draw" will be 2 out of 3 games to 11; winning by 2 points; all matches in the "Consolation Draw" will be one game to 15 winning by 2 points.
• Medal rounds will be 2 out of 3 games to 11 win by 2.

Doubles Events

• 4 or 5 team brackets will play a round robin format; 2 out of 3 games to 11, win by 2 points
• 3 or fewer teams will be combined brackets

Singles

• 5+ player brackets will play double elimination 2 out of 3 games to 11, win by 2 points.
• 4 player brackets will play a round robin format; 2 out of 3 games to 11, win by 2 points; 
• 3 or fewer players will be combined brackets
