Tournament Description

The San Diego Championships is a World Pickleball Association Tournament Events up to 7 teams are Round Robin format and teams of 8 or more are double elimination to ensure you get plenty of pickleball. Food

Drinks and snack bars , chips etc will be available however for more substantial food bring your own or there is many local restaurants or uber eats etc  to deliver to the center . 

Cancellation Policy

Cancellation is available up to August 28th. After this date no refund is available however you may replace yourself with a partner of appropriate Skill/Age. No refund for change of tournament location if we have to move events indoors or wet weather if indoor courts unavaialble however you may have  have the event fee credited to another World Pickleball Association Tournament or league.

Format

The World Pickleball Association offers all matches are Round Robin to ensure you get plenty of pickleball .Gold , silver and Bronze is decided by most matches won then if a tie for medal order then its head to head to decide Gold/ Silver or Bronze however if its a double round robin with medal contenders winning 1 each then total point differential in all matches will decide Medal places.

— brackets of 3:  double round robin with games to 15  (60 possible points scored against you if you lose all matches)

— brackets of 4:   round robin with 2/3 to 11  (66 possible points scored against you if you lose all matches)

— brackets of 5:  round robin with games to 15  ( 60 possible points)

— brackets of 6: round robin with games to 15 (75 possible points)

— brackets of 7:  round robin with games to 11 (66 possible points)

— brackets of 8  either games ro 11 ( possible 77 points ) or double elimination 

--- brackets of 9 and above either games to 11 ( possible 88 points ) or double elimination 

--- brackets of 10 and above Double Elimination
