Tournament Description

USA Pickleball West Diamond Regional Championships at The HUB qualifies: 1) All gold and silver medalists are eligible and can then pre-register during Phase I of the registration process for the Diamond Amateur Championships in Pictona. 2) All other participants from Diamond Amateur Regional tournaments are eligible to register during Phase II, pending availability within individual brackets. 3) All players that participate in a 2023 Diamond Regional tournament become eligible to take part in the lottery for the 2023 USA Pickleball National Championship.

Other Registration Info

Gold and Silver Medalists from the Regional tournaments will earn pre-registration into the Diamond Amatuer Championship at Pictona. All other participants from the Regional tournaments will be eligible for the lottery into the Diamond Amateur Championship.

Gold, Silver and Bronze Medalists from the Regional tournaments will be entered into the lottery for the 2023 National Championships in Indian Wells.

There will be no pre-registration (Golden Tickets) from the 2023 Regional tournaments to the 2023 National Championship in Indian Wells.

PAYMENT/PARTNER POLICY

Players must be paid and have a registered and paid partner to be confirmed.  Players not paid and without registered and paid partners will be moved to a wait list if the division in which a spot is being held is filled with fully registered and paid teams. 

INCLEMENT WEATHER POLICY

Newport Beach Pickleball tournaments are outdoor.   If weather or any other unforeseen circumstance occurs  Newport Beach Pickleball Events will do all it can to play matches.   If brackets are in mid play when a weather or unforeseen circumstance occurs the situation will be evaluated on a case by case basis to determine if the bracket may be finished or if winners may be determined. 

CANCELLATION DEADLINE:

No refunds for any reason after the CANCELLATION DEADLINE unless the Registration & Weather Insurance Policy has been purchased prior to the CANCELLATION DEADLINE.

REGISTRATION & WEATHER INSURANCE POLICY:

If you withdraw before CANCELLATION DEADLINE , you will be issued a refund less a $25 processing fee without the need to purchase Registration Insurance.

During registration you may choose to purchase the Registration & Weather Insurance in the event you have to cancel out of the event after CANCELLATION DEADLINE. See the policy for specific coverage details. The insurance will also cover your event fee in the case your event is cancelled due to weather without a make-up day option.

PARTNER REPLACEMENT POLICY:

Any registered player losing a partner, after registration closes, must replace that partner with an already registered player. The replacement must be in the same skill/age group that you are scheduled to play. Players can play down in age and up in skill.   Replacements need to be known and communicated to Debbie at ptpgreg@gmail.com by 2pm the day before you are scheduled to play.  Replacements can be found on the players needing partners list.
